Brittany Murphy husband 'cancels benefit'

According to WENN, the event was to raise money for art education as part of the newly-established Brittany Murphy Foundation. Tickets were priced at $1,000 (£625) each, while corporations were charged $10,000 (£6,250) to attend.
The benefit was scheduled to be held on Thursday evening at the Beverly Hills Saban Theatre in Los Angeles.
However, British screenwriter Monjack shelved the plans on Wednesday without explanation, but did send an email to expected guests.
"So sorry but the memorial has been cancelled due to an illness in the family," it read.
