Janet Jackson has secured a restraining order against a man whom she says has been following her and writing to her for the past nine years.
Under the order Robert Gardner, 46, must stay at least 100 yards away from Jackson and must refrain from attempting any contact with the singer, her family or business associates for the next three years.
She requested the order on March 1, following Gardner's attempt to sneak a knife and box cutter into a rehearsal for her appearance on Saturday night Live.
Gardner claimed that the reason for his actions was that he has personal and business matters to discuss with Jackson, but refused to explain to the court what they were, reports Chartattack.com.
