Former Big Breakfast host Gail Porter has reportedly taken an overdose of anti-depressants.

The Sun claims that Porter collapsed after taking 30 pills and was also treated for cuts to her wrists last week at the Royal Free Hospital Hampstead.

The final straw appears to be the breakdown of her marriage to Toploader guitarist Dan Hipgrave. A friend told the newspaper: "Gail and Dan tried to work through their problems to save the marriage but it has come to an end.

"She got a bit confused and was feeling very down over the break-up. It's horrible having to deal with things like who will live where. And they have a gorgeous daughter."

Hipgrave today revealed that Porter had taken their daughter, Honey, to Disneyland. "That's not something you'd do if you were not well," he pointed out.
