Kellan Lutz 'misses playing football'

Twilight star Kellan Lutz has reportedly admitted that he misses playing football.

The actor, who stars as Emmett Cullen in the vampire franchise, recently participated in DIRECTV's Celebrity Beach Bowl tournament in Miami, which took place over Super Bowl weekend.

Speaking to ESPN's Page 2, he said: "I love football. I miss my high school days where I played.

"I was going to college for [football] and then acting came up so I had to put school on hold and now I'm on this acting adventure."

He added: "I don't think I'm tall enough, big enough or strong enough to be in the Super Bowl. I just miss playing football and getting hit and hitting people."

Other celebrities who took part in the Beach Bowl included Lutz's co-star Taylor Lautner and Gossip Girl stars Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr.
