Reid: 'I'm not trying to replace Andre'

Alex Reid has insisted that he is not trying to take Peter Andre's children away from him.

The cage fighter, who last week married Andre's ex-wife Katie Price in Las Vegas, spoke out following the popstar's recent emotional TV interview.

Andre broke down during a live appearance on Sky News last week after host Kay Burley asked him how he would feel if Reid wanted to adopt his children.

However, writing in his new column for Star magazine, Reid promised: "I've got no problem with Pete and am not trying to replace him in the kids' lives in any way."

Discussing his wedding, the Celebrity Big Brother winner continued: "The ceremony was at the Wynn hotel and we kept it pretty simple. There are pictures of us choosing our rings but it's a secret how much they cost!

"People have said it's a shame lots of our loved ones weren't at the wedding, but we are going to have a big party with them back in the UK soon."
