Former Friends actress Jennifer Aniston has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt.
The divorce petition filed yesterday, in the Superior Court in Los Angeles, said that Aniston and Pitt were divorcing due to irreconcilable differences.
The news comes after rumours that the pair were planning to reunite. They were spotted on dinner dates together, and continued to share their Beverly Hills mansion.
Rumours suggest that Aniston and Pitt decided to split after constant rows over starting a family. Brad was apparently keen to have children, while Jennifer wanted to focus on her movie career.
In the petition, Jennifer has asked for her maiden name to be restored. She took Brad's name legally after their marriage in 2000, but continued to use Aniston professionally.
