Master P donates funds to Haiti school

Rapper Master P is reportedly helping to build a school in earthquake-stricken Haiti.

The hip-hop star, who handed over funds to construct a new building on the Caribbean island, has vowed not to celebrate the New Orleans Saints' win at the Super Bowl until the school is ready to open to the public.

"My Super Bowl victory party won't begin until the building of our school in Haiti is complete," he told AllHipHop.

Celebrities including Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have also pledged to donate $50,000 (£31,250) a year until 2015 to set up new schools in Haiti.

Meanwhile, Shakira's Barefoot Foundation has joined forces with Architecture for Humanity to build a further education institution.
