John Edwards never proposed to mistress?

A spokesperson for John Edwards has denied that the one-time senator has proposed to his mistress Rielle Hunter.

According to People, the former presidential candidate barely speaks with Hunter anymore.

"It's absolutely not true... They only communicate through a third party," said the representative, adding that when Edwards visits his daughter Frances Quinn, Hunter is not present.

John and wife Elizabeth separated at the end of December and are said to be now living apart.

"Everybody is trying to move on with their lives," the official added.
