Los Angeles Superior Court judge Mitchell Beckloff said that he wants to further consider arguments raised by Joe's attorney and will decide the matter next week, The AP reports.
The late singer's father's lawyer Brian Oxman reportedly wants the records in an effort to obtain a monthly stipend for his client.
The attorney argues that the patriarch has a right to know more about his son's passing and that the records should contain information on how to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit.
Michael's estate is apparently opposed to releasing the star's medical records to his father.
