Dennis Hopper granted restraining order

Dennis Hopper has been granted a restraining order against his estranged wife.

Hopper, who is suffering from prostate cancer, recently filed for divorce from his wife Victoria.

A judge has now granted the order after Hopper claimed that his wife is preventing his recovery, E! News reports.

Hopper's physician Dr. David Agus allegedly said that it is his "belief and recommendation that the less Mr. Hopper has to do with his estranged wife at his time, the more likely he is to have his life extended".

Hopper also described his former partner as "inhuman", "extremely volatile" and "insane and out of her mind".

The order means that Victoria Hopper is banned from coming within ten feet of her husband, his adult children or his assistant.
