Paris Hilton mum 'questions engagement'

Paris Hilton's mother has cast doubt over reports that her daughter is engaged.

Rumours that boyfriend Doug Reinhardt had popped the question to the heiress emerged earlier this week.

The speculation was fuelled by Hilton's recent admission that she had considered marriage in 2010.

However, Angry Ape claims that when asked of the news, Hilton's mother Kathy remarked that the engagement is "news to me".

Kathy added that if the stories are true, her daughter "hasn't mentioned it to me".
