Cannon gives Carey book of love messages

Nick Cannon has revealed that he gave wife Mariah Carey a book of his own love messages to her for their first wedding anniversary.

The musician, who married Carey in 2008, said that he collected letters that he had written to her every day from their first date and bound them himself as a "romantic" gift for her.

Cannon told People magazine: "She likes to be inspired. She is an emotional, sensitive woman. You need some daily inspiration.

"On our first date, I promised her that every single day, I would write her an email, call her, send her a text with an inspirational message and from that day forward I did it every single day.

"On our first anniversary of our wedding, I took all those messages and bound them in a book. Romantic!"
