Two dead in Trace Adkins tour bus crash

Two people have been killed in a reported motor accident involving a tour bus carrying members of country music star Trace Adkins's band.

Adkins was not on board at the time when a pickup truck reportedly collided with the bus on Saturday in Louisiana. Two men in the truck were killed upon impact.

Adkins's bandmates were treated for injury.

"This is a real tragedy," he said in a statement.

He added: "Two people have been killed and I don't even know their names. So out of respect for their families, I prefer not to comment too much at this time."

Adkins plans to continue the Louisina leg of his tour with singer Martina McBride.

Local officials are still investigating the collision.
