Cheryl Cole 'jets off to Los Angeles'

Cheryl Cole has flown out to America following her performance at the Brit Awards last night.

The 3 Words singer was photographed without her wedding ring as she waited for an early morning flight to Los Angeles.

The 26-year-old reportedly booked the trip last month to record new songs and is not escaping the current media interest surrounding her marriage to husband Ashley.

"Cheryl Cole is going to America for writing and recording sessions," a representative for the star told the Daily Mail.

"This is a session that was scheduled last month. She is away for a week. We have no further comment to make."

Ashley was last week at the centre of a scandal after it emerged that he allegedly sent sex texts and X-rated photos to a blonde secretary in 2008.

Recent reports have claimed that Cheryl now wants family members to refer to her by her maiden name Tweedy.
