Sheen 'urged by friends to enter rehab'

Charlie Sheen has been urged to go to rehab, according to reports.

The Two and a Half Men actor - whose wife Brooke Mueller is believed to have checked into a Malibu clinic earlier this week - has allegedly returned to alcohol after years of sobriety, but has so far refused to consider treatment.

"Charlie's TV contract is up for renewal," an insider told RadarOnline. "He doesn't think he has a problem and he's not going into rehab.

"Many people believe Charlie is simply in denial about his own problems. People close to him have urged him to enter rehab and get help again. But it just doesn't look like it's going to happen."

According to sources close to the star - who shares 11-month-old twins Max and Bob with Mueller - Sheen was accompanied by a sober coach on a night out with his wife on Christmas Eve, the day before their violent bust-up.

"The reason he had a sober coach with him is because he had already fallen off the wagon," they added.
