Avril Lavigne doesn't need 'a posse'

The singer finds that her life is far less complicated when she is left to her own devices and is not being followed around by people trying to style her hair.
She told Maxim magazine: "I don't need a posse. I'm very independent and very low-maintenance. I don't like people touching my hair, doing my make-up or telling me what to wear. I just find the less people around, the better things are. I don't need people around me telling me what to do. I'm like: 'Just go!'."
