'Single' Lampard sparks Bleakley mystery

Frank Lampard has appeared to confirm that his relationship with One Show host Christine Bleakley is over.

In a new interview, the England footballer reportedly stated that Fabio Capello's World Cup WAG ban would not affect him, insisting: "I'm a single man."

Bleakley spoke publicly about her romance with Lampard just one month ago, telling a newspaper that she was "very happy" with the sportsman.

A source told The Mirror: "It's come as a real bolt out of the blue. Everyone thought the two of them were going strong. Certainly by the way Christine was talking she did too.

"Only four weeks ago she said, 'It is early days, so we are trying to be low key. But I am very happy'.

"However it looks to have cooled off in Frank's eyes. Perhaps he just wants to concentrate on preparing for the World Cup and doesn't want any distractions."

Bleakley was first linked to Lampard last November and the couple were subsequently pictured together on several occasions.
