Sarah Jessica Parker unveils 'Sex' scent

Sarah Jessica Parker has unveiled her new Sex and the City-inspired fragrance.

The actress appeared at New York's Sweetie Pie restaurant for a private presentation of the SJP NYC scent. Parker played journalist Carrie Bradshaw on the HBO ensemble show and feature film.

"What I really wanted to do was capture an image, a snapshot in my head of Carrie Bradshaw", Parker said at the event, according to People.

"That sort of freeze-frame of her walking down any New York City street at an idyllic time of year in a floral-print dress on her way to meet somebody or to do something, or surrounded by her women friends."

The scent mixes notes of strawberry, gardenia and vanilla in a printed bottle inspired by the Oscar de la Renta dress Parker wore in the ad campaign.

"What we arrived at was very surprising to me because it’s not notes that I generally cotton to - but I love it," she added.

Sarah Jessica Parker appears alongside Kim Catrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis in the upcoming feature Sex and the City 2.
