PETA scraps Tiger Woods ad plans

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has confirmed that it has pulled billboards featuring Tiger Woods.

The advertisements feature a photo of Woods celebrating a tournament victory with the words, "Too much sex can be a bad thing!" in bold.

The campaign was meant to promote the spaying and neutering of pets, TMZ reports.

Below the main slogan, it reads: "For little tiger's too! Help keep your cats (and dogs) out of trouble: always spay and neuter."

However, PETA has now expressed its intention to withdraw the promotions.

"In light of conversations we have had with Mr Woods's attorneys, plans to run our billboard are on hold at this time," said a PETA spokesperson.
