Charley Boorman 'had testicle removed'

Charley Boorman has revealed that he had a testicle removed after a cancer scare.

The adventurer, who has previously starred in Long Way Round and Long Way Down with Ewan McGregor, told the audience at his Boorman Live Tour to get themselves checked.

According to the Daily Record, he said: "Forgive me but I'm still a bit uncomfortable after having a testicle removed - they've given me a silicone one and I think it's on the move."

He added: "It hasn't spread, I'm going to be alright, but I would urge every one of you guys when you go home tonight to have a good grope. It makes sense to make sure you're okay. For most guys it's not life-threatening and they even gave me a replacement."

Boorman also revealed that he is happy with the replacement testicle.

"The replacement is silicone and it's beautiful," he said. "But I do worry that I get buried and when someone digs me up in a hundred years they say, 'God, that's Charley Boorman and all that's left is his testicle - and it's not even real'."
