Amerie has reportedly announced that she is engaged to be married.
The 'Why R U' singer got engaged to her manager Lenny Nicholson in Paris earlier this week, according to Global Grind.
When asked why she is releasing her latest album on Def Jam rather than former label Columbia Records, Amerie told TeamYee.tv: "I’m really cool with the people that are there. When a company [Columbia] is going through structural changes, things can suffer.
"Creatively I just felt like there weren’t a lot of things we can do because every time I would have someone in pocket they would be laid off or someone would change or this person’s now doing this."
The 30-year-old released her fourth studio album In Love & War in November 2009.
