The singer's 18-year-old Michael Blosil committed suicide last week after jumping off his apartment balcony.
Osmond, 50, "is finding solace in her faith and her family", according to Entertainment Tonight anchor Mary Hart.
Speaking on CBS's The Early Show today, she continued: "And I find tremendous grace in her own words, 'I really believe that it's the lows that make us who we are. It's not the success. It's how we handle all that'.
"You can bet she has loving arms around her," added Hart. "The Osmonds are a very close-knit family and, in times of loss or tragedy, they support each other and really band together as a family, and in love."
Blosil left a note addressed to a close friend before ending his life.
