The comedian and musician will join the father-daughter team of John and Camilla Cleese for songwriting duties. John announced the partnership in a newsletter on Monday.
"We've just completed the book for the musical of A Fish Called Wanda," Empire Online quotes him as saying. "Soon, we'll start to work on the songs for the show with Bill Bailey."
The Monty Python star said that he hopes to debut A Fish Called Wanda in San Diego, with an eventual run on Broadway and London's West End.
He recently produced one-man show A Ludicrous Evening with John Cleese… or How to Finance Your Divorce after his acrimonious split from psychotherapist Alyce Faye Eichelberger in 2008.
