Nick Carter pleads innocent to drink driving

Backstreet Boy Nick Carter has pleaded not guilty to two charges related to drink-driving, according to E! Online.

The singer, whose hits include 'Larger Than Life,' was arrested in California last month after committing a "traffic viloation."

Carter's arraignment, held on Wednesday, included a charge for driving under the influence and another for having a blood-alcohol level over 0.08. The innocent plea was phoned in by his lawyer.

Speaking after the arrest in March, Carter's publicist explained: "He is on doctor-prescribed medication and was unaware of its interaction possibilities."

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for May 2.
