Amy Winehouse 'spends £70k at hotel'

Amy Winehouse has reportedly spent over £70,000 on hotel accommodation after moving out of her North London home.

The troubled singer is staying at the five-star Langham Hotel temporarily while she waits to get the keys for her new £2.5m Camden property, according to the Daily Star.

It is claimed that Winehouse started paying the £7,000-per-night fee ten days ago and is enjoying her new surroundings.

A source told the newspaper: "She has lavish tastes and is hiring a superior two bedroom suite for herself and her security team. The suite is decked out with flashy furniture, a four-poster bed, two dressing rooms, a lobby with cloakroom and a magnificent Infinity bath."

The insider added: "Amy's [also] been paying for her friends to stay over in the hotel, ordering a junior suite for them at £1,250 a pop.

"She hates being alone so invited friends to come and keep her company, ordering endless stuff from the room service menu including drinks from the posh cocktail bar, which specialises in rum-based cocktails."

Recent reports suggested that Winehouse is returning to Camden because she wants to find musical inspiration.
