Lil Wayne has been granted another five days of freedom ahead of his impending jail term after his sentencing was delayed for a third time.

The rapper's case has so far faced several postponements, for which he is expected to be handed 12 months behind bars.

Last month, the 27-year-old's date in court was pushed back in order for him to have dental surgery. It was delayed again this week following a fire in the courthouse basement that forced the building's closure.

The court date had been rescheduled for today, however officials at the Manhattan District Attorney's office have confirmed that the case will now be arranged for Monday as repairs at the site are still ongoing, TMZ reports.
