Redmond O'Neal stays sober for late mum

The late actress's son appeared in court on Wednesday for a status hearing on his judge-ordered drug rehab. O'Neal claimed that his mother is on his mind as he battles his addiction.
"I'm doing great. I am focused on my recovery and plan not to let anything get in the way," O'Neal told People. "I am doing my best to make my mother proud."
The 25-year-old was arrested in January 2008 for a probation violation and possession of narcotics. A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge ordered O'Neal to serve time in a one-year residential facility and eliminated all home visits for the actor.
"The judge is keeping a careful eye on him," said O'Neal's attorney Richard Pintal. "Redmond is still facing a tough road and today he got some tough love."
Farrah Fawcett died after a prolonged battle with rectal cancer in June 2009.
