The TV star's literary offering tells the tale of two sisters named Chelsea and Amber Stone who both have careers in the showbiz industry.
Explaining in an interview with The One Show why she wrote the novel, Osbourne commented: "This industry's so horribly competitive - and nobody comes into this industry to fail. You don't want to do a movie that nobody wants to see or make a record that nobody wants to buy.
"It always fascinates me, that chemistry between two sisters in this industry. There are so many. When I was growing up it was the Redgraves - Vanessa and Lynn. Vanessa used to get all the great movies. Lynn was equally as good but it was always about Vanessa.
"Since then it's been Britney Spears and her sister and it just goes on and on."
Discussing her own attitude towards fame, she added: "I've always said to my kids, it's great to succeed, it's fantastic - but know when it's enough. There's always someone prettier, always someone more talented, always someone wealthier. Just be happy with what you have."
Revenge was released in the UK today.
