Brian McFadden proposes to Delta

Brian McFadden has proposed to new girlfriend Delta Goodrem, according to the News of the World today.

The former boy-band star apparently wants to marry Delta as soon as his divorce from Kerry Katona comes through.

McFadden shared the news with his friends and family last weekend, when he took Delta home to Ireland with him.

A friend told the newspaper, "They're very happy, but the whole thing has been kept quiet because Brian's divorce hasn't gone through yet. Brian and Kerry have only just got back on speaking terms. He doesn't want to rock the boat because they're in discussions about their two daughters.

"Delta's totally different to Kerry. She's quiet and sophisticated. She's totally blown him away. At first his parents were concerned that he was rushing into things. But they know he knows his own mind and are glad to see him so happy.

"Brian has said he'll get Delta a ring when they set the date."

Delta and Brian met last year when they recorded a duet, Almost Here, together. Brian admitted that he was dating Delta in January this year.
