Charles Pearson was arrested on Wednesday at a Los Angeles-area community college for allegedly using a campus computer to make threats to the Celebrity Rehab doctor.
On Friday, Pearson plead not guilty to stalking and five counts of making criminal threats.
Police reported that Pearson sent Pinsky several harrassing messages and later appeared at a radio station that is affiliated with the doctor.
A Los Angeles County judge has set Pearson's bail at $400,000 (£250,000) and issued a permanent restraining order which orders that the accused stay at least 500 yards from Pinsky and his family.
An upcoming hearing in the case is set March 18.
