Spears banned from talking to Lohan?

Britney Spears has apparently been banned from speaking to former friend Lindsay Lohan by her father.

Jamie Spears - who is also the singer's co-conservator following her breakdown in 2008 - was concerned to hear that his daughter had rekindled her relationship with the troubled actress, according to the National Enquirer.

"The trouble started when Lindsay reached out to Britney for advice on getting her career back on track," an insider told the publication. "They simply chatted by phone - but when Britney mentioned it to Jamie, he exploded."

The source added: "He instantly phoned Lindsay's managers and told them he would not tolerate further attempts to contact his daughter.

"Britney's so totally humiliated - she feels like she's 13 again. It's embarrassing for her that she's 28 years old, but her dad gets to tell her who her friends will be. On the other hand, Jamie's trying to keep what he deems to be bad influences away from his daughter - and Lindsay certainly qualifies."
