Mother's testimony comes to an end

The mother of Michael Jackson's accuser ended her five-day testimony yesterday.
She faced questions about the alleged incident when security guards beat her after her son, Gavin Arviso, was accused of shoplifting. She won a settlement of £78,000 over the matter.
Despite suggestions that photographs taken immediately after the alleged event were in fact evidence of domestic violence, she insisted that they proved her claims.
Though the matter is unrelated to the child molestation charges brought against Jackson, the defence are using it to suggest that the family are no strangers to trying to gain money through bogus lawsuits.
Also yesterday, the prosecution indicated that they may wrap up their case next week.
