Gisele Bundchen: 'Giving birth was intense'

Gisele Bundchen has said that giving birth was a powerful experience, according to Us Weekly.

The supermodel and husband Tom Brady delivered son Benjamin last December. Bundchen claimed that the natural birth process was not painful but instead extremely vigourous.

"Giving birth was the most intense and life-changing experience of my life", she wrote on her blog. "I never felt so vulnerable but so strong at the same time."

Bundchen also explained that when she saw Benjamin for the first time, she "felt an overwhelming, unconditional love".

"I felt a huge sense of accomplishment. 'We did it! We did it together!' He and I. I never felt so complete and empowered in my life."

Bundchen has said that she is currently taking time off from modelling and acting to raise her son. She recently donated $1.5m (£1m) to relief efforts in Haiti.
