Joe Rooney announces wife's pregnancy

Joe Don Rooney has announced that he is expecting his second child.

The Rascal Flatts guitarist and former Playboy Playmate Tiffany Fallon married in April 2006. The couple had son Jagger Donovan in May 2008.

"We're a little more prepared but the same excitement is there," Rooney told People. "There's such fulfilment in being a father and it's going to be two-fold now, which is so cool."

Fallon became pregnant when the pair were staying at the same Los Angeles hotel where they learned of her first pregnancy.

"It was late January and we were out by the pool chilling and she said, 'I have something to show you', and she opened her purse and pulled out the stick with the positive sign," Rooney said. "I was like 'Wow! We're going to have to stop coming to this hotel. We'll have 16 of these things before long!' But life just couldn't get better."

Fallon is due to give birth in September. Rascal Flatts are on tour in support of their upcoming album.
