Karl Stefanovic has said that he refers to his co-host Lisa Wilkinson as his "second wife", while she calls him her "second husband".
The Today presenter, who has hosted the breakfast programme with Wilkinson for two years, said that they are so close that they finish each others' sentences and predict what the other is thinking.
Wilkinson told Woman's Day magazine of Stefanovic's real wife: "Cassie and I clicked straight away."
Stefanovic said of his co-star's husband and former Wallabies player Peter FitzSimons: "Man, did he grill me! It's like 400 questions from Peter - one firing after the other without a pause."
Wilkinson added: "We both really lucked out with our partners, because they totally understand that Karl's and my relationship is so important for the show, and that people know us as a duo.
"In fact, I think Peter and Cass are pretty happy to kick us out of bed in the mornings and send us off to each other - 'Out you go!'"
