Price, Reid release marriage statement

Katie Price and Alex Reid have issued a statement following tabloid reports that their marriage in Las Vegas was not legal.

Over the weekend, the News of the World claimed that 67-year-old Reverend Mose Henney, who officiated their nuptials, was no longer a minister because of an alleged sex scandal at a Wisconsin Church. It was reported that all services carried out by Henney are void.

Price and Reid have denied the accusation, insisting that the Office of the County Clerk Marriage Services Division has verified their union.

"Following the revelations in the press over the past couple of days regarding the validity of Katie and Alex's wedding, we would like to state that the marriage is 100% legitimate and legal," reads the statement.

"The Wynn where they married, and the Office of the County Clerk Marriage Services Division, have both confirmed that Reverend Mose Henney, who conducted the wedding ceremony, is legally authorised to perform marriage ceremonies."
