Haim's death a 'prescription overdose'?

Four prescription bottles have been found at the scene of Corey Haim's collapse, a report claims.

Los Angeles Coroner assistant chief Ed Wineter confirmed the news to US Weekly.

The former teen star, who died today aged 38, is believed to have taken an accidental overdose - but not of illegal drugs.

Winter explained: "There were no illicit drugs found at the residence. There were four prescription bottles taken.

"The Los Angeles Police Department reported it was a possible drug overdose, but we've seen no signs of foul play at this time. It's pending an autopsy and toxicology. [They were] just normal prescriptions.

"His mother was with him. He got up. He felt weak, and she helped him on to the bed. She called paramedics. They responded and transported him to the hospital. He was pronounced [dead] at 2:15 am."

However, Winter added that Haim's body was "not in bad shape" shortly before his death.
