The 75-year-old actress, who has won BAFTAs, Laurence Olivier Awards, an Oscar, Golden Globes and a Tony during her 50-year career, will join forces with biographer John Miller to tell the story of her life.
Publisher Malcolm Edwards told The Bookseller: "In an era of shallow, instant celebrity, Dame Judi is the genuine article: one of Britain's leading actresses for almost half a century, and one the country's best-loved figures."
Dench, who has previously refused to write an autobiography, is believed to have agreed on a six-figure sum for the book.
