The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star, who switched her trademark spiky bob for long hair extensions in January, was snapped by Radar Online as she left the Ted Gibson salon in New York yesterday.
According to the website, the mother-of-eight spent seven hours at the salon having her extensions removed.
Gibson had previously revealed that he was planning to slightly alter Gosselin's hair ahead of her stint on Dancing With The Stars, explaining that she would be reverting to her bob for a day until her new extensions were inserted.
He added that he is planning to add "caramel, a beige blonde and a little bit of a lighter blonde" to the reality star's style when he reinserts her extensions later today.
Dancing With The Stars premieres March 22 on ABC, and from March 26 exclusively on Watch in the UK.
