Corey Haim linked to drug ring

Authorities are reportedly investigating a prescription drug ring linked to late actor Corey Haim.

Entertainment Tonight reports that the California Attorney General's office found an unauthorised prescription in Haim's name while looking into fraudulent prescription pads ordered by a vendor in San Diego.

It is not known when the investigators uncovered Haim's medication.

Close to 5,000 fake prescriptions have been linked to the ring. According to officials, the criminal group operated by ordering legal drug pads using stolen doctor identities.

The pads later landed in the hands of prescription drug users and people who sell drugs in the underground market.
