Jennifer Love Hewitt confirms split

Jennifer Love Hewitt's representative has confirmed reports that she has parted ways with Jamie Kennedy.

People reported that no further details were given on the split, which brings to an end a year-long relationship born when the pair first appeared together on Ghost Whisperer.

The couple had been due to attend an event together last week, but Love Hewitt failed to appear.

The actress told Ellen DeGeneres last year that she was bowled over by her feelings for the funnyman. "There are people in your life who are just supportive and who just look at you and they see who you are. And [Jamie] really saw who I was as a person more than anybody had ever done in my whole life. I think that's for me when I sort of went, 'Oh, wow'," she said.
