The former Girls Next Door star recently admitted that she struggled to cope after welcoming her son Hank in December but has now clarified that it was never diagnosed as postnatal depression.
"I'm not going to sit here and say that I had postpartum depression," she told E! News. "I was depressed but it wasn't diagnosed as postpartum depression. But it was depression. I know because I've been through therapy my whole life."
Wilkinson added that she found it so difficult to look in the mirror after giving birth that she brushed her hair in the dark.
Meanwhile, her husband Hank Baskett said that it was "hard because there's nothing you can say, nothing you can do".
However, Wilkinson explained that she is now feeling much better after receiving professional help and moving back to LA from Indianapolis and Philadelphia. She added that she is looking forward to befriending other parents.
"I think that will be a lot of fun for us," she said. "We can relate to parents."
The second season of Kendra debuts on March 14 on E!.
