Party broadcast uses Franz track

Franz Ferdinand have allowed the Green Party to use This Fire in their campaign.

The track will accompany a clip directed by Alex Cox portraying a harrowing depiction of the environment in future years in part of a TV broadcast from the party as part of their election campaign, reports the BBC.

The Green Party hope that the support of such a popular band will help to win the youth vote next month.

A spokesperson from the Scottish Green Party explained that the group were "happy to show their support by giving us free use of the music, but they were reluctant to get drawn in because they are very busy recording at the moment."
