Sinitta 'not surprised by Cowell wedding'

Sinitta has praised Simon Cowell's fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy.

Cowell confirmed that he is engaged to the American Idol make-up artist earlier this week.

Sinitta, who used to date Cowell, has now revealed that she likes his future bride.

"He's suddenly woken up and realised she's the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with," she told Life & Style. "She's fun, very easy to be with. I'm not surprised they got together."

Cowell's fellow America's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan also praised Hussainy.

"She's very grounded and has clearly made him very happy," he said, joking: "Simon was always going to fall for a make-up artist - that way he has someone permanently around to make him look perfect."
