Emma Watson splits from boyfriend

Emma Watson has reportedly broken up with her boyfriend.

Watson was first linked to financier Jay Barrymore in 2008 and was later reported to have moved in with him.

However, The Mail On Sunday says that Watson, who is currently studying at Brown University in America, ended the relationship because of the long distance.

She has also reportedly grown close to a fellow student, Spanish musician Rafael Cebrian.

A source said: "Emma and Jay were in trouble for months and with Emma at Brown University in America the transatlantic gap proved too much for their relationship to survive. Emma has been spending a lot of time with Rafael and they are virtually inseparable."

The insider added that Cebrian has persuaded Watson to perform in a student production of Chekhov's Three Sisters.

"Rafael belongs to the Production Workshop, a student-run theatre group at Brown," the source explained. "He's been acting with them since he moved to the US and he has got Emma involved.

"This is a new experience for Emma and she's a little nervous about her performance but the play has already sold out. She's hoping it will be a critical success."
