Love Hewitt, Kennedy 'to remain friends'

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy will continue to be friends in spite of their separation, reports claim.

The acting duo first, who first got to know one another on the set of CBS drama Ghost Whisperer, ended their year-long relationship following an announcement from Love Hewitt.

"It wasn't contentious. It had kind of just run its course," a source told People. "They just sort of looked at each other and said, 'We like each other and we make each other laugh, but this isn’t for the long-term'."

"She's working constantly, and Jamie's working on the show and touring with his stand-up comedy act. It just isn’t conducive to a relationship."
