Abbie Cornish: 'I really admire Madonna'

Abbie Cornish has revealed that she admires Madonna.

The Australian actress, who is working with Madonna on forthcoming historical movie WE, said that she likes the fact that the singer does not let her relationships define who she is as a person.

Cornish told Splash News: "Madonna is a strong, independent woman who doesn't need a man to define her - and that's admirable."

The 27-year-old also said that Madonna was a hard worker and had "studied every aspect" of the historical characters in the movie.

Cornish recently broke up with her boyfriend Ryan Phillippe.
