Toronto not financing Corey Haim funeral?

The City of Toronto has not yet received a financial assistance application for Corey Haim's funeral, say reports.

The actor's mother told Access Hollywood that the Canadian city will be covering the costs of her son's funeral.

However, representatives at Toronto City Hall have said that they have not been given the necessary paperwork to help out.

"The City of Toronto has never received an application for assistance with the funeral costs for Mr Haim," said Kevin Sack, the city's director of communications.

He stressed that the municipality is not "denying" to provide the aid, but also not covering Haim's expenses at this time.

The former child star's mother had previously said that a memorabilia company was covering the costs. A private service is to take place in Toronto tomorrow.
