Madonna 'planning sunglasses range'

Madonna is reportedly working on a new range of sunglasses with Dolce & Gabbana.

Founders of the fashion house and the singer's close friends Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are said to have planned more than 50 proposed styles of frames for Madonna to consider, before she selects six pairs for her collection.

The sunglasses will each bear the logo MDG and will hit stores in May.

Gabbana told WWD: "We're so excited. This further strengthens our relationship with Madonna, and it was a very constructive experience for us. [Madonna] is very exacting and a professional who seeks perfection in everything she does, and this was no exception."

Madonna, who has modelled for the Dolce & Gabbana spring collection, recently confirmed plans to launch her own line of kids' clothing as part of new style venture MG Icon.
