Cole makes first post-split TV appearance

Cheryl Cole returned to British TV screens last night for the first time since the breakdown of her marriage.

The singer and X Factor judge appeared on Sport Relief to critique Rufus Hound's Let's Dance winning performance of 'Fight For This Love', which she joked was "like looking in a mirror".

Cole, 26, then took to the stage to perform a ballroom dance routine to her new song 'Parachute', for which she received a huge round of applause.

Cole was recently forced to pull out of a number of planned TV performances after being struck down with bronchitis. That came just weeks after she announced her split from husband Ashley, who is alleged to have repeatedly been unfaithful.
